Waste and Recycling Reference Group

EPA’s Waste and Recycling Reference Group is made up of industry associations and organisations that represent the interests and views of businesses and duty holders in the waste and recycling sectors.

The group’s purpose is to provide input and advice to EPA that:

  • improves levels of compliance with the Environment Protection Amendment Act 2018 across the waste and recycling sectors, while working to achieve a level playing field
  • contributes to EPA understanding and addressing industry barriers to compliance, to shape effective EPA policy and operational activities
  • explores opportunities for partnership
  • provides a two-way communication channel between industry and EPA
  • identifies emerging issues and other developments that may impact upon environmental management in Victoria.
